Lamb and Barley Stew

1 lb lamb stew meat cut into 1 inch cubes
1 large onion, diced into largeish pieces
1 large turnip, peeled and diced
2 med carrots, sliced
3 cans beef broth
1 bottle dark beer
2/3 c pearl barley
Ground pepper
Salt
Thyme
Parsley

Toss it all into the crockpot. Cook. Yum.

  1. Looks good. I don't really use lamb much, but I'm a big believer in beer in stew. The slow gentle long cooking in a crockpot is perfect for this type of thing.
